NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Regular City Council Meeting will be held in the Council Chamber – 275 East Olive Avenue, Second Floor, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., to discuss matters on the attached agenda. 

Members of the public have the option to participate in the meeting in-person or remotely. They may also submit their written comments regarding City business using the eComment feature on the City website.

Adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, PLANS, AND SPECIFICATIONS, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR BID SCHEDULE NO. 1537 - I-5 CORRIDOR ARTERIAL SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS – PHASE 3 PROJECT [METRO MR310.55] TO INTERNATIONAL LINE BUILDERS, INC., AND FINDING OF CEQA EXEMPTION.

Adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THE 2025 GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT EQUIPMENT, AND ANY FUTURE AMENDMENTS, ACCEPTANCE OF $20,918 IN GRANT FUNDS, AND AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING FUNDS.

Adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER OR ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER AS THE AUTHORIZED AGENT FOR THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR’S OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES. 

Adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURBANK ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 FIRE INSPECTION PERFORMANCE REPORT REGARDING REQUIRED ANNUAL INSPECTIONS IN OCCUPANCIES PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 13146.2, 13146.3, AND 13146.4 OF THE CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE.

Accept a monetary donation in the amount of $5,000 from The Strickland Family Foundation and amend the Fiscal Year 2026-27 Budget to appropriate funds towards the Burbank Fire Department’s Health and Wellness Program.

Direct the City of Burbank’s voting delegate to vote in support of a resolution of the General Assembly of the League of California Cities calling for a working group to consider a state constitutional amendment or other form of initiative to ensure final local authority over housing and land use decisions at the 2026 League of California Cities Conference.

1. Provide input and/or policy direction on the findings from the Greenhouse Gas Inventory Update and the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan Status Report; and
